How to Unlock Felina – New Free Fortnite Skin
Fortnite’s latest update has brought a few new modes and features to the game. Most exciting for some players though is the advent of another free Fortnite skin! The Felina Fortnite skin is the latest addition to the game.
It’s a chance to unlock a free skin, but with a bit of a unique twist. If you want to show off your progress in Ranked Fortnite, this might be the skin for you. How can you unlock the new free Felina skin in Fortnite?
Fortnite features a wide range of different cosmetic items, from popular superheroes to more original designs. Fortnite’s large roster of different skins is often only obtainable via the Item Shop for players who have V-Bucks to spare. However, every once in a while, Epic releases a free skin that players can earn just by playing the game.
How to Get Felina Fortnite Skin
Another free Fortnite skin is here to celebrate the release of Reload Ranked! This new skin has a unique twist though. The Felina skin is available for free, as is the Felina’s Claw Pickaxe. Both items are tied to the Rank you achieve in-game though.
These skins come in some slightly different varieties. As you climb the Fortnite Ranks in any mode, the skin will level up. it’ll display the style of the highest rank you achieve in the game. However, you don’t unlock it by playing in Ranked.
The Feline free Fortnite skin unlocks from earning 50 account levels. The Felina skin unlocks by gaining 25 account levels.
What are Account Levels?
Before you start adding how much further you need to get in the Fortnite Battle Pass, it’s probably best to clarify what an Account Level is. It’s different from your Battle Pass or season level.
This has caused problems before for unlocking Fortnite skins, the Chrome Punk skin had a similar unlock method. Account levels are general levels for your overall Battle Royale account. You could view this through the career tab, but 50 account levels aren’t a lot. You’ll likely not need to worry too much about getting this quest if you’re playing regularly! Just play Battle Royale matches and you’ll gradually increase in level.

Gold – Reach the Gold I Rank
Platinum – Reach the Platinum I Rank
Diamond – Reach the Diamond I Rank
Elite – Reach the Elite Rank
Champion – Reach the Champion Rank
Unreal – Reach the Unreal Rank
